Meet the Owners

Hi everyone, We’re the new owners of Aurora Flight Training.

 

We officially took over in the middle of 2025, and we’re excited to share our new vision for Aurora Flight Training—one that is built on making aviation accessible, embracing adventure, and flying with skill.

 

Aurora Flight Training has a long history here at the airport, and we are thankful for what has been built over the years. Our vision is to continue to bring growth with our students and our aviation community. We believe in doing this with openness, collaboration, and respect.

 

When Abel was 15, he took his first discovery flight—and fell in love with aviation. He flew a 2 seat open cockpit ultralight trike with a fan on the back and absolutely loved it. But it took him over fifteen years before he could actually afford to fly. That’s why Aurora Flight Training's first pillar is accessibility. We believe flight training shouldn’t be out of reach for everyone.  Through our membership model, students get lower hourly rates, and a clear path to becoming a pilot.

When it comes to embracing Adventure we are located in the perfect location. The Pacific Northwest is surrounded by beautiful and majestic landscapes that feed our brand and our passions. Flying isn’t just about getting from one place to another—it’s about living beyond the pattern. It’s about the freedom to explore, to connect, and to see the world from a new perspective.

 

As for flying with skill, this means we are all about excellence and safety. Being skilled is being safe. Whether you’re training for your first solo or an airline career —we’re committed to creating confident, capable pilots who fly with purpose, safety and top notch confidence. We offer both part 61 and 141 programs for our students to help tailor their individual goals and needs.
